Transition
Transition (Swing Phases) is the change from backswing to downswing, where ground forces, hip‑torso sequencing, and arm shallowing blend to drop the club on plane. With hips leading, trail‑arm/scapula engagement, axis tilt, and “motorcycle” wrist control, you create a stable delivery position. Nail tempo—slow to fast, two‑step rhythm—to unlock speed, consistency, and straighter shots.
- Lower‑body‑first cues: bump then turn; hips lead the torso.
- Shallow the club: point trail elbow, hands high/club low.
- Face and wrist control: motorcycle timing; cast vs ulnar deviation.
- Pressure and bracing: force pedals; load left knee/lead foot.
- Spinal tilts and checkpoints: side bend, axis tilt, delivery pump—longer drives, cleaner contact.
Start now to groove a body‑led transition for straighter, longer, more solid shots.
